Chief Academic Officer, GEMS Education
Tony Little is Chief Academic Officer for GEMS Education and is a member of the group’s advisory board. In this role, Mr. Little is responsible for ensuring educational excellence throughout the GEMS network of globally connected schools. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Little served as the Headmaster of Eton College for over 12 years.
Mr. Little has previously served as the Headmaster of Oakham School in Rutland from 1997 to 2002, joining from Chigwell School in Essex where he was Headmaster for 7 years. He has also played a key role in developing the English curriculum for students at Brentwood School in Essex, serving as the Housemaster and Head of the English department from 1983 to 1990.
A published author and renowned educationist, Mr. Little has been a driving force in the British academic system and plays a significant role in shaping education policy as Member of the Inspectorate of the Independent Schools Inspectorate, Honorary Educational Advisor to The World Trust of Janusz Piotrowicz, and Chairman of the Mvumi School Trust, among others.
